The Corporate Tax Accountant will report directly to the Senior Accountant, Corporate Tax and work closely with the broader tax team and controllership.The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out Noom's day-to-day corporate tax compliance, accounting and reporting. The position requires strong organizational, communication, analytical and interpersonal skills to manage daily operations, properly service internal stakeholders and to work with external consultants.What You'll Be DoingDriving Noom's day-to-day corporate income tax compliance, accounting and reportingOverseeing the completion of U.S. federal, state and local corporate tax returns and related computationsPreparing relevant documentation and computations for quarterly income tax provision processHandling current and deferred tax rollforwardsConsolidating U.S. and non-U.S. tax information for accounting and reportingCompleting reconciliations in support of monthly and quarterly closesPreparing income tax disclosures for inclusion in regulatory filingsResponding to tax notices and inquiriesCoordinating with external advisors supporting the functionKeeping pace with relevant tax regulations and accounting guidanceMaintaining workflow calendars and trackersAssisting with internal controls documentationEnsuring timely and accurate tax paymentsLiaising and collaborating with relevant internal stakeholdersParticipating in ad-hoc projects including M&A, due diligence, forecasting and planningWhat We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in accounting, tax or finance – CPA candidate strongly preferred1-3 years of relevant experience to meet the demands of a growing, global technology and healthcare companyExperience with quarterly income tax operations of a publicly traded companyProven knowledge of U.S. federal, state and local income tax complianceUnderstanding of tax accounting requirements under ASC740Familiarity with internal controls documentationAbility to communicate tax needs to non-tax stakeholdersAbility to work in a fast paced environment and manage competing prioritiesMust be a team player who can also work independentlyAdvanced excel skillsSoftware/technology industry experience is a plusTax reporting technology experience is a plus (OneSource)NetSuite, Alteryx experience is a plusWhat Makes This Job AmazingYou'll be helping millions of people lead healthier lives every dayYou'll experience huge learning & professional growth opportunities. The range displayed on each job posting is based on Noom's estimate as of the date of publication and reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position across all US locations. The actual placement of the candidate within the range is based on factors including but not limited to relevant experience, assessment of functional skills and behavioral competencies, scope, and location.
