Responsibilities
• Oversee the Corporate Insurance Department budget• Update existing controls within the corporate risk management database• Report operational losses to Corporate Risk Management• Assist in the negotiation of contract wording in third party agreements• Assist in the investigation of third-party liability claims• Oversee auto, general liability and workers' compensation claims• Pursue recovery from third parties causing damage to U.S. Bank property or injuries to a U.S. Bank employee• Conduct/participate in annual audits of two claim vendors• Conduct/participate in quarterly claim reviews• Maintain, improve, and facilitate relationships with internal and external customers• Provide ideas for process improvement within the department and the organization• Assist with and/or manage processes and projects related to insurance and claims
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience• One or more years of related experience• Working knowledge of financial analysis techniques and general accounting procedures• Well-developed mathematical and analytical skills• Basic knowledge in financial analysis, forecasting, and planning• Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze data• Basic technical skills related to data mining and visualization tools• Advanced Excel proficiency
