Provide operational oversight and leadership through the development, monitoring and achievement of goals and tactics that support consistent, high quality services for ambulatory referrals. Monitor daily work and provide support and coaching for Referral CORE Schedulers in the areas of customer services, job performance, patient scheduling procedures, and problem resolution. Support colleagues and facilitate onboarding and training of new hires. Address, manage and schedule referrals across all specialties per the standard ambulatory referral workflow. Provide support to Operations by assessing workflows, data, and making recommendations for improvement. Perform quality assurance assessments to maintain expected results across the Referral CORE Scheduling Team. Collaborate with manager on developing and revising departmental policies and procedures, educating staff, and assuring compliance to private, state and federal regulations. Ensure organizational and departmental policies and procedures are followed. Works with clinic operations and health care providers to execute excellent patient services. Cultivates an environment that promotes our organizational iTEACH values.
Required Qualifications: Referral Core Scheduling Lead
High school education or equivalent required. Minimum of three years post-secondary education with coursework in business, medical assistant program or nursing assistant program OR equivalent combination of education/experience in healthcare business or clinic operations (one year of education equals one year of experience) required. Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service to healthcare providers, staff, patients, and other internal/external customers required. Ability to work professionally with patients in a timely, confidential manner required. Demonstrated analytical, prioritization and organizational skills required. Demonstrated flexibility and dedication to team environment required. Effective communication skills required. Attention to detail required. Experience in hospital patient registration, patient scheduling and/or call center required. Knowledge of medical terminology required. Preferred Qualifications: Referral Core Scheduling Lead
Leadership experience preferred. Project management experience preferred. Associate's degree in healthcare business or project management preferred. Epic experience preferred.
