Full job description Coordinator of Faith Enrichment
Summary of position: The Coordinator of Faith Enrichment, in conjunction with parish leadership, is responsible for developing and directing the overall evangelization activities for the Church of the Divine Child parish, schools and alumni. This is to be accomplished by inviting people to an encounter with Jesus and His Church, and cultivating joyful missionary disciples. In other words, to implement the parish mission statement. The Church is the work of God, initiated by Christ and held together by the Holy Spirit. Divine Child Parish is entrusted with the responsibility of bringing people to the Lord, and answering the call to holiness.
Responsibilities: Primarily responsible for seeking to draw those in our community (with a special emphasis on parents with children in the Elementary School and High School) who are only remotely engaged in the liturgical life of the parish, into a deeper engagement Engaging college students and alumni to bridge the gap between school age discipleship and adult faith discipleship As part of parish and school leadership, develops a vision and plan for evangelization, and actively shares that plan and vision with the staff, parishioners, ministries and schools Oversees existing activities of parish faith-sharing and service groups, extracurricular school groups (including, but not limited to, athletics and fine arts) to assure that established parish evangelization plan is incorporated into activities Assists in the spiritual formation of staff and ministry leaders Able to work a flexible schedule which may include some evenings and weekends Competencies, Experience & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Theology or Equivalent in experience or education; willing to participate in continuing education Completed Protecting God's Children and a criminal background check 5+ years of experience in Parish or School Leadership Understands the overall parish mission and Catholic teaching as it applies in relation to parish policies and procedures Comply with all church laws and archdiocesan policies and regulations and civil law Maintains confidentiality in all areas Motivated, team-oriented, and flexible with above average organizational, written and verbal communication skills Able to develop relationships and communicate effectively with the parish community and lead others with positive impact Able to represent the parish well in dealing with other organizations Practicing Catholic with knowledge of Catholic practices and philosophies Knowledge of general computer software, office equipment, technology and social media Reports directly to Fr. Bob McCabe
