Full job description At Securian Financial the internal title for this position is Compliance Sr Spec. Overview:


Employee Benefits Solutions (EBS), a division of Securian Financial, is a customer-centric organization producing customized solutions that meet the needs of the largest and most dynamic corporations in the market today. As a Compliance Sr. Specialist, you will serve as the initial point of contact for the EBS Compliance Team. Your primary responsibilities would include collaborating with internal partners to ensure timely and compliant responses to questions and inquiries and managing the legal forms for EBS group insurance products.



Responsibilities include but not limited to: Serve as the first point of contact for the EBS Compliance Team by managing the GrpCompliance work intake inbox. Independently manage as many requests as possible, appropriately prioritize and redirect requests as needed.

Coordinates the creation, revision, and customization of filed/legal forms used in the enrollment, underwriting and administration of EBS group insurance plans.

Prepares forms for state filings of new products.

Ensures forms are set up for new clients per client's plan design and product(s) and in compliance with situs state requirements.

Manages requests for customization of existing client forms.

Provides subject matter expertise on divisional projects impacting forms (e.g., automation, product development).

Manages inventory of division's regulated and non-regulated forms.

Serves as the primary Data Loss Prevention (DLP) reviewer for EBS.
Performs related activities as directed and manages personal self-development to prepare for new responsibilities and challenges in a changing environment. Qualifications: Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office products.

Analytical and problem-solving skills to critically review requests for forms creation/revision and research and recommend solutions.

Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to meet exacting standards for quality.

Strong communication and customer service skills to maintain effective working relationships with business areas, corporate departments and outside vendors.

Demonstrated organization and prioritization skills to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and maintain service and quality standards. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of form design, state, and federal regulations, legal filing requirements.

Knowledge of Life Insurance and Supplemental Health insurance products.
Securian Financial believes in hybrid work as an integral part of our culture. Associates get the benefit of working both virtually and in our offices. If you're in a commutable distance (90 minutes) you'll join us 2-3 days each week in our offices to collaborate and build relationships. Our policy allows flexibility for the reality of business and personal schedules. When working in our offices at least two days per week isn't feasible (vacations, illness, travel, etc.), an eight day per month standard is an option.



Physical Job Requirements: Ability to utilize the keyboard, computer and/or mouse for up to 8 hours per day

Ability to work at least 40 hours per week

Ability to utilize the phone and/or virtual meeting platform for 1-4 hours per day
