Communications Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a part-time Communications Specialist to join our team at Walt Disney in Indianapolis, Indiana. As a Communications Specialist, you will play a crucial role in creating and delivering engaging communications to our internal and external audiences. This position is at the Associate level and requires a minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:- Develop and implement communication strategies and plans to support the goals and objectives of the organization- Write and edit content for various communication channels, including press releases, newsletters, social media posts, and internal communications- Manage relationships with media outlets, influencers, and other stakeholders- Monitor and analyze media coverage and social media engagement- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all channels- Conduct research to support communication initiatives- Assist in the organization of events and promotional activities- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in communications

Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field- Strong written and verbal communication skills- Independent and resourceful with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously- Experience in research and strategic planning- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms- Knowledge of AP Style and basic graphic design skills are a plus
