Building a community Being supportive Having Integrity Bettering Ourselves Caring The CNC Setup/Programmer is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce high-precision parts according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. This role involves collaborating with engineers, machinists, and quality control personnel to ensure efficient and accurate machining processes. You will play a critical role in improving current CNC programs and reducing setup and run time.
The CNC Setup/Programmer will report directly to the CNC Group Leader.

Job Responsibilities: Write, modify, and optimize CNC programs for various machines, including lathes, mills, and multi-axis machining centers. Utilize CAD/CAM software to create efficient toolpaths and G-code.
Setting up jobs for operators to run and programming new parts.
Organize all new programs in a different format as needed.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
Day-to-day improvement of parts programmed, set up and ran.
Improved run times on all products. We can measure it off past job performances.
Easier change over from OP to OP (Set-Up Time).
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with CNC machines, tooling, and programs. Perform routine maintenance and coordinate repairs when necessary.
Ensure parts meet tolerance requirements and quality standards.
Empower other machine operators to be their best selves.
Job Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or associate degree in CNC machining, manufacturing technology, or a related field is preferred.
A minimum of 4-10+ years of experience in CNC programming and setup is required.
Proficiency with Mastercam software and G-code programming.
Strong understanding of CNC machines, tooling, and machining processes.
Familiar with Fanuc, Haas, and Siemens control.
Familiar with using precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measurement tools.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues related to CNC machining.
Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in a noisy environment.
Positive attitude and ability to work well with others.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
Strong commitment to integrity and a reliable attendance record. Pay: $34.00 - $42.00/hr depending on education, experience, and skills.
Schedule:  Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm EST. OT and weekends as needed based on production schedule.
