Position Summary
Responsible for setup and operating CNC and/or manual grinding machines to produce precision components according to drawings and specifications with minimal supervision. All employees are responsible for contributing to a safe work environment, meeting our quality standards, and striving for 100% on-time delivery of customer orders.
Salary Range Low to Mid
$21.00/hr - $25.50/hr
Monitor machine operation to ensure quality standards are met and make necessary adjustments as needed. This includes making machine offset adjustments as required to maintain specifications. Inspect finished products for accuracy, conformance, and overall quality. Uses standard inspection tools during the process. Uploads and edits programs on CNC grinder when required. Performs a variety of tasks; some of those tasks include CNC and/or manual grinding, manual machining (lathe and mill), honing, soldering, bluing, and painting. Enter all production information into the data collection system. High school diploma or its equivalent and at least 3 years of experience in CNC and/or manual grinding. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Works under minimal supervision. A high degree of creativity and latitude is required. Proven programming skills. Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time Ability to lift 50 lbs.
