Principle Duties and Responsibilities Operates and maintains lathe, mills, saws, and other shop equipment. Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production. Selects, sets-up and operates appropriate machines for a given task. Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete a given job. Programs with G Code, Programming software at workstation or at work center. Monitors production, adjusting speeds, feeds, and other machine settings as necessary. Maintains inventory of completed products. Checks output for quality assurance and documents or segregates defective parts. Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs. Maintains a clean and safe workstation. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed. Instructs, trains, and guides the machinist helper. Helps monitor the production output of the Machinist Helper. Verifies dimensions of the finished workpiece, using measuring devices. Must ensure that all Safety switches on machines and equipment are enabled for the protection of the employee and equipment. Follow quality and ISO guidelines to produce products within customer specifications. Inform the Supervisor of any machine or equipment set ups or job changes for inspection and/or verification. Maintain all tooling and equipment in good working condition. Verify pallets and products are traceable and always identified. Always wear proper PPE and safety equipment when operating equipment Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $32.61 per hour
