Position Details:

Title: Cloud Automation Engineer (Packer & Python Focus)

Location: Richmond, VA / Atlanta, GA / Chicago, IL- Hybrid- 3X/Week Onsite

Compensation: $91/hour

Day-to-Day:
Lead upgrade initiatives and image building processes using Packer and Python
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for cloud platform upgrades and image building
Automate cloud services provisioning, with a focus on Ansible
Ensure built-in resiliency and observability in infrastructure automation for cloud IaaS and PaaS services
Collaborate with technical teams to integrate secure app patterns into Cloud platforms
Translate business requirements into technical definitions, reference models, and playbooks
Ensure technology solutions comply with enterprise system design and engineering standards
Promote an inclusive and healthy working environment and help resolve organizational impediments/blockers
Must Haves: 3+ years of Cloud Automation Engineer working experience
Experience with Ansible, Packer, Python, and Linux
Proficiency in developing CI/CD pipelines and automation scripting
Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts and security principles
Experience with Red Hat and Linux internals
Knowledge of container-related technologies and CICD tools
Experience in enterprise-scale environments, building highly available IaaS and PaaS solutions
Plusses: AWS and GCP experience
Financial services industry experience
Certification in Red Hat or relevant technologies
Experience with HashiCorp tools
Knowledge of Terraform
