Civil Foreman

Seeking a Civil Foreman for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Columbus, OH.

Pay is starting at $34 hourly.

 
Responsibilities: Examine and inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to verify safety and to ensure that specifications are met. Read specifications such as blueprints to determine construction requirements and to plan procedures. Estimate material and worker requirements to complete jobs. Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of construction or extractive workers. Coordinate work activities with other construction project subcontractors, suppliers, owners, engineers and architects. Locate, measure, and mark site locations and placement of structures and equipment, using measuring and marking equipment.   Provide assistance to workers engaged in construction or extraction activities, using hand tools and equipment. Train workers in construction methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures, and company policies. Analyze worker and production problems and recommend solutions, such as improving production.

  Qualifications: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. 4+ years of civil construction experience. Proven experience working as a foreman. Must have excellent math skills and accuracy for interpreting reports, statements, and budgets.
