As a Child Care Substitute, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and development of children in our care. You will step in as needed to provide high-quality child care services when our clients regular staff members are unavailable due to vacations, sick days, or other reasons. Your responsibilities will include engaging with children, implementing educational activities, and maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
Supervise and interact with children of various age groups. Implement daily routines and activities that promote learning and development. Ensure the safety and security of all children in your care. Assist with mealtime and snack preparation. Change diapers and assist with toilet training as needed. Provide comfort and support to children during moments of distress. Foster positive social interactions among children. Maintain a clean and organized child care environment. Follow our organizations policies and procedures. Communicate effectively with parents and staff members. Be adaptable and responsive to the needs of the children and the center.
Requirements High school diploma or its equivalent.
Successful clearance of a background check and fingerprinting for child care.
Prior experience in child care or a related field is advantageous.
Possession of Entry Level Child Care Training (E.L.C.C.T.) (or the willingness to obtain it in 30 days).
Possession of CPR and First Aid certification (or the willingness to obtain it in 30 days).
Possession of Safe Sleep training (or the willingness to obtain it in 30 days).
Proficiency in communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated qualities of patience, compassion, and a sincere passion for working with children.
Capability to function effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Possession of dependable transportation.
Flexibility regarding traveling, scheduling and availability.
