Health Insurance; Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, and Vision Insurance plans (for eligible seasonal employees after working 500 hours) Free ski passes for dependents Critical Illness and Accident plans Job Summary: The Child Care Lead will support staff effectively in order to ensure the highest quality of guest service is provided. Manage daily operations, which can include scheduling, labor, staff and guest communication, reservations, etc. Coach and monitor all teachers in the classrooms while holding them accountable to both child care programs and policies as well as Vail Resorts policies and procedures. Work with counterparts in other departments to provide seamless guest experiences. Work with the Child Care Manager to complete all staff performance appraisals. Provide regular positive feedback & support, documents disciplinary actions and coaching. Communicate consistently and effectively with the Manager of child care about the products, business, and staff issues.
Job Specifications Outlet: Prater Lane Play School Expected Pay Range: $22.00 - $23.76 / hour Shift Availability: Full Time, Year Round Skill Level: Intermediate - Advanced Job Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of the daily child care operations at the Children's Center in conjunction with Manager Responsible for safety and welfare of all enrolled children and staff Ensures appropriate practices and curriculum are being used and implemented according to best practice and department guidelines Responsible for personnel management including: Performance appraisals, disciplinary issues and compliance with company, state, department, and health policies and procedures Financial responsibilities: daily billing and RPOS procedures, auditing compliance, monitoring labor budget and supplies Regular and effective communication with Manager Responsible for managing front desk duties including; reservations, check ins, parent communication, billing, preparing lunch and providing staff lunch breaks. Train and coach new and returning staff in all classrooms on safety procedures, transitions, proper etiquette and values of Vail Resorts and the Children's Center. Job Requirements :
Minimum of one year supervisory experience Minimum of one year experience working with children ages 0-18 months old in a group setting is required Guest service experience required Familiarity with Word, Excel and Outlook; capable of typing letters to parents and e-mailing co-workers, parents and other departments Fluent English required Changing diapers required Able to lift 50 lbs or more The expected pay range is $22.00 - $23.76. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
