Job Title: Certification Engineer
Location: Hollywood, FL
Pay: $90-140K/YR
Based in Hollywood, FL, our client designs and additively manufactures critical components for the Aerospace, Defense, & Space industry. SUMMARY: 
The Certification Engineer is responsible for working as part of the certification team along with the fabrication and design team, suppliers, FAA, and EASA to research plan, and execute product certification programs. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform assigned certification tasks for projects as directed by Lead Engineer or Manager Familiarize with TSO certification process for Aircraft seating products Work as part of the certification team to implement previously established certification basis Liaison with completion centers, clients, FAA/EASA and suppliers to ensure timely project completion Manage Vendor testing and adherence to schedule to support final certification Develop tools, as necessary, to track deliverables, testing, compliance findings, to assure on-time completion of the project Interface with regulatory agencies (FAA/EASA/Other) for coordination and approvals Records test data applying statistical quality control procedures. Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards. Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability. Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics. Prepares graphs or charts of data or enters data into computer for analysis. Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation. Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data. Develop and execute certification programs with minimal supervision Interface with internal customers to support timely project completion Maintain accurate and up-to-date certification records Compile and enter vendor testing data to support final certification Follow internal company processes REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical discipline (or equivalent work experience), preferably in Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering, and minimum of three years of aircraft certification experience Working knowledge of 14 CFR § 21 and 23 is necessary to perform the duties of this position General knowledge of all phases of aircraft design, testing, approval, FAA certification, manufacturing, inspection and service The employee must possess the ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external customers in both written and oral form Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential to deal with personnel situations The employee in this job must be knowledgeable in regard to the safety policies and procedures of the Company as described in the Company safety manual DESIRED: Minimum 3 years' experience in electrical, structural and/or mechanical systems & equipment certification Experience managing a multi-disciplined certification project Experience with TSO application and approval process Understanding of EMI/EMC mitigation practices, environmental robustness as related to DO-160 testing
