You will also be responsible for following all safety guidelines while at the branch, on the road, or at the customer site and complying with all FMCSA rules and regulations.What you'll do:Drop off and pick up equipment for customersPrepare truck, tools, & supplies for scheduled work ordersOperate construction equipment, such as semi-trucks and trailers ("low boys") consistent with DOT classification CDL-AAdhere to all safety requirements particular to equipment including Federal Motor Carrier Safety RegulationsMaintain driver's logs and complete pre-trip inspectionsSuggest additional equipment and supplies customers may needOther duties assigned as neededRequirements:Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving recordHigh School Diploma or GEDMinimum of 2 years DOT regulated Commercial Driving ExperienceSuperior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skillsAbility to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving proceduresDiligent attention to safetyLimited amount of overnight travelThis position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals' policies and procedures.Why join us?We don't just "talk the talk!"
