About the Team The Customer Experience (Marketing) team works to showcase our brand through the lens of expertise and love. They work to provide a personalized experience for our consumers backed by best-in-class, data-driven marketing capabilities. The Customer Experience team focuses across 4 departments including, Marketing, Creative, Communications, and our Loyalty & CRM team. Everyone brings their own point of view to create a unique experience for the pets and pet parents.
About the Location Hybrid Position: This position may be considered Hybrid based on PetSmart's FlexSmart policy and business needs. A Hybrid work arrangement is considered to be a blend of onsite and remote work activity. Associates with a Hybrid work arrangement have a work space at Phoenix Home Office and can be required to come onsite between 1-5 days a week as determined by leadership and based on business needs.
About the Job Hardgoods & Specialty Category Marketing Manager PetSmart is looking for a Marketing Manager to join our Integrated Marketing team, leading efforts in the Hardgoods and Specialty categories. Reporting to the Director of Brand Marketing, the role blends retail marketing and brand marketing skillsets to create consumer-centric campaigns that drive business performance and bring our "Anything for Pets" brand platform to life.
As marketing's partner to the Hardgoods and Specialty business teams, you will act as the connective tissue between Merch and Marketing, developing category marketing strategy, leading relevant programs and tactics, while translating key category insights into our full enterprise go-to-market approach.
We're looking for someone who is strategically minded, proactive, and detail-oriented, with strong presentation and communication skills who can build credibility and trust with peers and cross-functional leadership across the org. 
Key responsibilities include: Lead relevant marketing programs from inception through implementation, identifying insights, writing briefs, tracking project progress, ensuring on time/on budget execution and delivering timely recaps Be the voice of Integrated Marketing, presenting strategy, tactical updates and communicating results to cross-functional business partners, ensuring alignment and building trust Represent the Hardgoods/Specialty category business teams to the wider marketing group, developing an expertise on lines of business, reporting on performance, and identifying priorities and opportunities Partner with Analytics and Audience teams to develop insights-backed strategies and measurement plans to drive sales growth Other duties as assigned Requirements Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience), with at least 3-5 years in marketing, communications, or customer experience Strategic retail marketing experience strongly preferred Excellent communication and presentation skills Highly organized, with strong project management skills and an ability to efficiently execute and prioritize projects on varying timelines Ability to operate both autonomously and collaboratively Capacity to flex across both broad strategic planning and tactical execution Ability to analyze data, develop new ideas and test new programs to drive sales Proficient in Microsoft software applications A passion for pets and people Key Competencies: Customer Orientation Learning Agility Project Management Team Player/Cross-functional Partnership High Standards About the Culture At PetSmart, we work hard to create a culture where and we celebrate the unique stories, backgrounds, and experiences our associates share.  These experiences not only bring new perspectives in shaping our Belonging culture but they're core to PetSmart's success.
