The Business Manager will assist with managing a portion of our current award portfolioCARAT assists faculty in obtaining funding for research and creative achievementCARAT supports and strengthens arts, humanities, and social science research and creative achievement

Responsibilities
• Provide direction for faculty to find the necessary resources to obtain funding for research• Perform comprehensive reading of the RFP and advising faculty• Compile necessary components and submit proposals to sponsors• Set up tasks and timeline for post-award project monitoring• Review transactions and verify compliance with policies and guidelines• Coordinate with various entities to meet project deliverables• Supervise Business Specialists and provide training for new employees• Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business, Finance, or a related field• Four years of grant and/or business administration experience• Strong written and communication skills• Ability to read and interpret grant documents and reports• Master's Degree preferred• Five or more years of grant and/or business administration experience• Experience with NIH and NSF proposals and awards• Familiarity with other funders such as foundations and private funders• Ability to work with various software technologies
