Summary This position is located at Java Cafe which is a part of Fort Moore Family & Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR). This is a Regular Part Time position (20-40 hours) eligibility to participate in the NAF Employee Benefits Plans.

Duties Manages a Food Service Program within a business activity. Develops, recommends and enforces operating procedures. Plans and manages all phases of food service program where dining and catering are a substantial basis of the food operation. Prepares/supervises the preparation of menus involving both standard and new cooking methods. Conducts customer surveys, reviews usage/sales to make recommendations concerning services, promotion activities and revenue improvements Participates in the selection of employees, directs on-the-job-training of new employees, makes duty assignments consistent with operational requirements. Develops operating budget and data, identifying labor, equipment, and supply costs. Controls food pricing and costs. Oversees food ordering, storage and issues. Directs subordinates in all phases of food preparation and food sanitation requirements Supervises assigned staff. The ability to obtain (within first six months of employment) and maintain a Food Protection Manager Certification acquired through an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredited agency is required. Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differential s This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
