ALPS, the nation's largest direct writer of lawyers' malpractice insurance is expanding its product offerings into Business Insurance. With this growth we are looking for a Business Insurance Customer Service Representative.

This position plays a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and support to clients in commercial insurance. You will be responsible for assisting Business Insurance clients with their insurance policies, addressing inquiries, processing policy changes, and ensuring a high level of satisfaction. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a deep desire to understand Business Insurance products and services if you are not familiar with them already.

This position does require the ability to attain licensure to sell insurance or have a current state Property and Casualty license.

This is a full time, Monday - Friday position, with the base salary of $50,000. Benefits include Employer Sponsored Health Insurance for the Employee, Vision option, Dental option, 401k with a 6% match, PTO, Tuition Reimbursement, Student Loan Assistance Program, and a Lifestyle Spending Account.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Assist business insurance clients in understanding their insurance policies, coverage options, and premium calculations via phone, email, video or in-person meetings.
Address business insurance client concerns, claims inquiries, and billing issues promptly and professionally.
Ensure accurate and up-to-date policy documentation and records.
Collaborate with underwriters and claims adjusters to facilitate policy changes and claims processing.
Assist other ALPS producers and commercial insurance agents in preparing quotes, proposals, and presentations for potential clients.
Generate policy quotes, provide information on coverage options, and explain insurance terms and conditions to clients.
Maintain thorough records of client interactions, transactions, and policy changes in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements within CRM
Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance standards to ensure accurate policy handling.
Provide clients with guidance and on loss prevention and safety measures and education on risk management strategies and recommend appropriate coverage enhancements to meet their needs
Collaborate with other departments
Communicate and coordinate with insurance carriers on behalf of business insurance clients
Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to enhancing the overall customer service experience.
Make outbound lead generation calls to existing ALPS policyholders to educate, gauge interest, build relationships, identify products and identify purchasing cycles associated with advancement of Business Insurance objectives
Set appointments for prospects actively interested in Business Lines products
Utilize software associated with auto-dialing and updating prospect information in CRM
Report individual results on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
Contribute to the daily workflow with regular and punctual attendance
