Job Summary:
As a Business Development Officer with us, you will play a pivotal role in fostering relationships with small business owners, originating financing transactions, and driving business growth. This role encompasses various responsibilities, including business development, risk management, and relationship management.
Key Responsibilities:
Originate Small Business Administration (SBA) loans, equipment leasing, and Asset-Based Lending (ABL) financing transactions nationwide.
Cultivate strong relationships with customers and brokers serving small business owners.
Utilize networking and referrals to generate business leads and identify potential borrowers.
Expand market presence in assigned locations and markets.
Demonstrate the value of our lending philosophy and our ability to cater to the needs of small business owners.
Collaborate with our marketing team to develop effective marketing and sales strategies.
Generate leads, prepare financing applications, and manage the loan approval process.
Maintain active communication with customers throughout the lending process.
Achieve annual production goals and contribute to the growth of the business.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Five or more years of sales experience in the financial services industry.
Strong familiarity with SBA lending preferred.
Proven track record of sales success, with an annual production of $10MM to $12MM+ over the previous three years.
Proficiency in marketing, risk management, and commercial lending.
Understanding of financial statements, cash flow analysis, and loan structuring.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to manage account relationships and drive business-to-business (B2B) sales.
Active referral network is a plus.
Position may be based in a preferred national location.
