Job Description
Join a leading innovator in energy storage technology at our state-of-the-art facility in Ann Arbor, MI. As a Battery Engineer, you will spearhead critical projects to enhance the performance and reliability of lithium-ion batteries, contributing to innovative solutions across a variety of applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Development:
Lead the engineering of battery systems from initial concept to production launch, focusing on specific applications that meet both technical and commercial requirements.

Innovative Collaboration:
Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to ensure the integration and optimization of system designs, achieving top performance standards.

Testing and Validation:
Establish and execute comprehensive testing protocols to validate battery designs and ensure adherence to rigorous industry standards.

Data Analysis:
Leverage performance data to drive continuous improvements, enhancing battery efficiency and extending life span.

Client Engagement:
Coordinate with business development teams to align product specifications with client needs and expectations.

Requirements
Education:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Systems Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.

Experience:

At least 7 years in product development, with a focus on battery system projects for the last 3+ years.

Technical Expertise:

In-depth knowledge of battery chemistry, energy storage systems, and Battery Management System (BMS) principles.

Software Proficiency:

Strong skills in SolidWorks, with extensive experience in DFMEA and DVP&R for electrical/mechanical systems.

Regulatory Knowledge:

Eligibility to work on ITAR-compliant projects, with a preference for candidates with defense-related application experience.
