Responsibilities
• Law enforcement patrols• Interviewing witnesses, victims, and suspects• Crime scene security and processing• Arrest and charge criminal suspects• Supporting battlefield operations for circulation control and area security• Conducting prisoner of war operations and supervising civilian internee operations• Supporting peacetime Army community by protecting critical resources• Implementing crime prevention programs• Preserving law and order
Requirements
• Interest in law enforcement• Ability to make quick decisions• Ability to remain calm under heavy duress• Ability to interact well with people• Completion of 10 weeks of Basic Training and 20 weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT) and on-the-job instruction• Basic knowledge of warrior skills, firearms, military/civil laws and jurisdiction, investigating and collecting evidence, traffic and crowd control, and arrest and restraint of suspects
