Main Duties & Responsibilities
· Diagnoses root-cause of any malfunction and performs repair efficient and accurately
· Communicates with Service Manager to obtain needed parts
· Communicates and educates customers clearly on cause, and options of repair
· Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended
· Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order
· Road tests vehicles when required
· Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor promptly
· Keeps shop area neat and clean
· Maintains and is accountable for all tools and manuals used. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as received. Reports any and every damage to the tools immediately for safety and prompt repair or replacement if needed
· Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner, and reports any safety issues, immediately
· Other tasks as assigned.
Experience
· 5+ years minimum of service technician experience
· Able to use a computer proficiently for documentation, ticketing, etc.
· Open and able to carry out conversations with team mates and customers
· Able to articulate and educate customers
· Organized with work and tools
· Punctual: Arrive with enough time so we can be productive at the start of the business day
Education
· High School or GED or the below experience
· ASE certified preferable but not necessary (every 5 years certification)
Schedule
Monday through Friday from 07:30 A.M. to 05:00 P.M. Subject to change based on business needs.
