Job Summary
The Audit-Compliance Supervisor oversees the responsibility for their team. Utilizes knowledge to coordinate the auditors and monitors the audit plan. Organizes and assists with developing and maintaining policies for billing conflicts, regulatory changes, new ICD 10 updates, and compliance. The Audit-Compliance Supervisor is instrumental in providing decision-making support to all levels of the organization. Provides education to departments related to charge processes and compliance. Participates in committees/special projects with compliance changes and audit functions.
Job Requirements
Education
Required: High school diploma or equivalent AND College course-work in Health Information Management, Medical Terminology or Technology
Experience
Required: Must have a minimum of three (3) years' experience with physician, diagnosis or hospital coding
Skills
Written & oral communication skills
Classroom presentation skills
Operational knowledge of federal & state laws affecting the workplace
Priorities management
Group facilitation/effective meeting skills
Use of information technology, including spread sheets, word processing, power point, internet & specialized programs applicable to assigned areas
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Required: CPC, CCS, COC, CIC, RN, or
RHIT
