Savas is searching for an associate level attorney that specializes in commercial transactions in the health care industry. The candidate will interface with our multiple business units, as well as vendors and acquisition targets, to understand our company's needs and objectives. They will work closely with compliance, finance, and operations to ensure that all transactions meet regulatory standards, satisfy strategic objectives, and are financially accretive. They will help manage our vendor relations, and the acquisition of strategic assets including pain management clinics, ambulatory surgery centers, and medical office buildings. They will understand and manage the company's contractual relations with third parties.
Qualifications: We are seeking a skilled Counsel to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in legal research, writing, litigation, and negotiation. Licensed Attorney in California (additional jurisdictions a plus). Five years minimum experience, 7-9 years preferred. "Brand name" education and previous employers not required provided that work experience is in the relevant areas. Ideally a mix of law firm, corporate and government history.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial transactions. This includes contract review, drafting and negotiation. Their primary focus will be centered around healthcare (required), but additional areas will include mergers and acquisitions (required), and real estate transactions (preferred). Experience with health care payor contracts is also highly preferred.
