Associate Attorney - Commercial Litigation
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Attorney with 5-8 years of experience in commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will have graduated from a top 50 law school and possess exceptional academic credentials.
Responsibilities:
* Handle a diverse caseload of complex commercial litigation matters.
* Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and prepare for hearings and trials.
* Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys to develop case strategies and tactics.
* Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts.
Qualifications:
* Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a top 50 law school.
* Admission to the Nevada State Bar or eligibility for admission by waiver.
* 5-8 years of experience in commercial litigation.
* Strong academic credentials, including excellent law school transcripts.
* Demonstrated ability to excel in a fast paced, high pressure environment.
* Experience with big law firms preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
* Salary: $135,000 to $180,000, commensurate with experience.
* Discretionary bonus based on performance.
* Comprehensive benefits package through United Healthcare, fully paid by the firm.
* 401(k) retirement plan with matching contributions.
* Garage parking provided in an attached garage.
* No billable hour target, although most attorneys bill around 1800 hours annually.
Relocation Assistance:
The firm is willing to provide relocation assistance for qualified candidates relocating to the Norfolk area.
