JOB SUMMARY:Responsible for ensuring all visual projects are supported and executed according to scope and plans of the project. Provide assistance to Project Supervisors and Project Manager creating and fabricating scenic elements and various tasks including store buildouts, special event set ups.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:Direct support to the Visual Project Supervisors, Manager and Director, assisting in tasks associated with visual projects, store sets, events and any other jobs related to the Visual Merchandise Projects team.Maintain Food and Merchandise sets, displays, props and window by refreshing props, painting, scenic work (i.e. aging wood graining, block aging etc.), repairs, installations, measurements, deliveries and cleaning.Fabricating of props using wood, foam and other substrates as well as painting, sculpting and installations.Creating design presentations and build drawings to support project management assigned by Project Supervisor or Project Manager.Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.Performs other duties as assigned.EDUCATION:High School Diploma - RequiredEXPERIENCE:4+ years of fabrication, prop making and/or visual display capabilities in any field.Knowledge and previous experience using tools, paints and other scenic resources; or equivalent combination of education and experience.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:Must be able to work a flexible schedule as needed - early mornings, nights or weekends depending on the needs of the project/business.Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Strong communication skills.Must be able to multitask and work independently as need to execute direction from Visual Projects leadership.Must have ability to adapt to using new tools, machinery, materials, and computer programs.Your talent, skills and experience will be rewarded with a competitive compensation package.Universal Orlando Resort.Here you can.Universal Orlando is an equal opportunity employer.
