Position:Assistant Professor, School PsychologyEffective Date:August 19, 2024 (Fall Semester)Salary Range:The Assistant Professor (Academic Year) classification salary is $64,860 to $143,928 per academic year (paid as 12 monthly payments). The anticipated hiring range is $75,000 to $85,000 per year. Salary offered is commensurate with qualifications and experience.Application Deadline:Review of applications to begin December 4, 2023. Degree at time of application or official notification of completion of the doctoral degree by August 1, 2024.California Pupil Personnel Services School Psychology credential by August 1, 2024 or state credential authorizing school psychologyDemonstrated potential for teaching excellence at the college levelDemonstrated potential for successful research and publicationDemonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population (e.g., identities related to historically marginalized communities such as African American and Latinx) in scholarship, teaching, and/or practiceDemonstrated experience as a school psychologist including conducting problem-solving psychoeducational assessment, consultation, and interventions for academic skills, behavioral and mental healthDemonstrated commitment to preparing school psychologists in a manner consistent with the National Association of School Psychologist (NASP) domains for training and practicePreferredQualifications: Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college levelBoard Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and/or NASP PREPaRE TrainerDemonstrated experience supervising graduate students in a training clinic settingDemonstrated experience with program accreditation, admissions, and/or fieldwork supervisionDemonstrated experience teaching at other minority-serving institutionsExperience coordinating or directing a program or other administrative dutiesA record of conference presentations, publications and/or grant-writing experienceDemonstrated experience with culturally responsive and sustaining practices in school psychologyExperience of successfully working with populations demographically and socioeconomically similar to the CSULB student bodyDuties:Teach core courses in the Education Specialist in School Psychology program. Courses may include, but are not limited to: Introductions to Statistics, Problem-solving Psychoeducational Assessment, School-based Mental and Behavioral Health, Consultation, School Crisis Planning, Behavioral Assessment and Intervention, Academic Assessment and Intervention, Fieldwork Supervision.
