Position: Assistant Professor of Design AnthropologyEffective Date:August 19, 2024 (Fall Semester)Salary:The Assistant Professor (Academic Year) classification salary is $5,405 to $11,994/per month (12 monthly payments per academic year). Degree at time of application or official notification of completion of the doctoral degree by August 1, 2024. Expertise in how the design, implementation, ethics and regulation of new technologies and products impact human organizations, consumers, communities and/or environments Expertise in User Experience Design (UX), Human Centered Design, Artificial Intelligence, Metaverse, Virtual Reality, and/or Augmented Reality or related emergent technologies, products or experiences Familiarity and/or experience with industry collaboration with professionals, their clients and other community members in all aspects of the design process. Demonstrated potential for research productivity Demonstrated potential for successful teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population Preferred QualificationsA track record of integrating principles from the field of Design in addressing the traditional concerns of Applied Anthropology in multidisciplinary teams Well-versed in ethnographic research, anthropological theory, methodologies and practices.
