Responsibilities
• Assist the head men's soccer coach with administrative tasks, recruiting, organization of practice, on-field duties, camps, and fundraising• Care for and organize soccer equipment used by the program• Help with planning and organizing travel arrangements for games• Assist in film breakdown and opponent scout• Present for all games and scrimmages• Monitor men's soccer student-athlete progress• Coordinate and monitor student study, athletic tutoring, and classroom performance• Support student athletes for placement at the University level• Assist in enforcing student conduct on the field• Promote the Pellissippi men's soccer program in the local community
Requirements
• High-school graduate, associate's degree, or bachelor's preferred• Coaching qualifications with U.S. soccer or united soccer coaches or an overseas federation• Prefer at least two years of soccer coaching experience• Experience recruiting student athletes preferred• Exceptional communication skills• Ability to relate to a diverse faculty, staff, and student population• Knowledge of soccer coaching skills and strategies• Ability to monitor players academically and athletically• Good public relations skills• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including some evening and weekend hours• Proficient in basic computer skills• Ability to engage in the college's mission and values
