Job Description: Assistant Baker Euphoric Doughnuts in Wheeling, WV is looking for one assistant baker to join our 6 person strong team. We are located on 167 16th Street. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and hard-working.
Position Summary: As an Assistant Baker at Euphoric Doughnuts, you will play a vital role in ensuring the production of high-quality doughnuts that delight our customers.
Your primary responsibilities will involve assisting with dough preparation, baking, decorating, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
The Assistant Baker plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our doughnut shop and delivering exceptional products to our customers.
Responsibilities: Assist the Baker in preparing doughnut batter, ensuring accurate measurement of ingredients and maintaining consistency. Help with the operation and maintainence baking equipment, including ovens, mixers, fryers, and doughnut-making machines. Assist in rolling, cutting, and shaping dough into desired doughnut forms. Fry doughnuts to perfection, ensuring they are evenly cooked and have a golden-brown appearance. Monitor baking time and temperature to ensure consistent quality and taste. Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and work areas regularly to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. Assist in inventory management, including monitoring ingredient levels and notifying management of replenishment needs. Assist in the development of new doughnut flavors and recipes, conducting taste tests and gathering customer feedback. Follow all food safety regulations and contribute to a hygienic working environment. Desired Skills: Experience as a Baker or similar role, preferably in a bakery or doughnut shop. Proficient in dough preparation, mixing, shaping, and baking techniques. Knowledge of various glazes, icings, and doughnut toppings. Mandatory Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely delivery of freshly baked doughnuts. Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and scaling recipes. Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices. Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy ingredients, and move equipment. Creativity and a passion for experimenting with flavors and designs. Pay Rate: The Assistant Baker position is an hourly position and will be compensated at a fair rate based on experience and skills. We are seeking a part time employee that is willing to work a minimum of 20 hours per week. Compensation starts at $10.00 per hour.
