Job Summary Our client is currently seeking for Assembly Mechanic. You will assemble and test machinery, check quality parts to ensure accuracy of dimensions and quantity, follow job operations as outlined on the work order, and must be willing to cross-train into other areas as required to meet production schedules and/or manufacturing needs.
Job Description Assemble and test machinery such as conveyors, rotating assemblies, etc. according to specifications and shop orders. Check quality of parts to ensure accuracy of dimensions and quantity. Must have own hand tools and be able to use required measuring tools Follow job operations as outlined on the work order Must be willing to work in a non-climate controlled environment Report dimensional discrepancies to Supervisor as they occur Must be willing to cross-train into other areas as required to meet production schedules and/or manufacturing needs Capable of driving a forklift and operating an overhead crane Must be able to work extra hours daily and on weekends as required Must follow all safety and environmental policies and programs; must be able to use personal safety devices as required by company policy; report any activities that could be detrimental to safety and/or the loss of productivity; report any injuries when they occur All employees are required to assist in plant housekeeping Must be able to work around the chemicals in the assigned department Interface with manufacturing personnel Must be willing to work in an on-the-job training status for the first few weeks of employment Assist in the training of new personnel All other duties as assigned Skills Required TOP SKILLS NEEDED: Great attendance record Punctual, reliable and dependable Safety focused Ability to follow instructions Education/Training/Certifications No Education Requirement Additional Requirements BEHAVIORAL EXPECTATIONS: Excellence Team Oriented Integrity Respectful Hardworking Dependable Work Hours: 6:00AM – 6:00PM with weekly OT required (Night shift is also a possible option) Pay Rate/Salary $18.00 - $18.00/hr and more depending on experience. Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skill set and/or location.
