Full job description Summit Learning Charter is a blended virtual school that is sponsored by the Estacada School District. Summit is hiring a Full Time (200 day contract) Art Integration Specialist , to support our growing charter school and amazing school community.

Job Setting: This position will primarily serve students in our Virtual Academy Program in grades 6-12. This position will have duties that can be done at home, but the applicant will also need to report to our Eagle Creek location 2 x per week to support our enrichment activities, as well as, 1 Friday a month for staff meetings. There will also be occasional events where staff are expected to attend in person, on a rotating basis.
Es senti al Qualifications: Master's in Education or related field Minimum 2 years experience working in public K-12 educational environment Knowledge and experience in Arts Integration goals and objectives, curriculum, teaching techniques, current trends, research and materials of instruction in the field of specialization. Coursework in Arts Integration is preferable. Understanding of the teaching / learning process Ability to provide support / instruction that reflects multiple perspectives and multicultural education. Ability to infuse technology into curriculum Ability to work effectively with administrators, colleagues, school board, students, parents and community. Excellent oral & written communication and human relations skills Ability to analyze data related to Arts Integration Attenda school / Arts Integration program meetings, programs and activities that may occur outside the instructional day - as necessary. Driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to pass a background check
Duties will include, but not limited to: Provides for Arts Integration instruction of students by working with teachers to develop, select, and modify instructional plans and material; and presenting them using arts integrated instructional techniques which meet the needs of all students. Develops and implements plans to improve student performance through arts integration, especially in the areas of the core academic subjects. Works within the school to model how to plan and implement high-level arts integrated lessons and assessments. Assists school to create an arts integrated school environment that provides for student involvement in the learning process and enables each student to achieve learning objectives. Designs and supports co-curricular art programs in a variety of virtual and in person settings and activities. Conducts professional development aligned with Integrated Arts Teaching and Learning with faculties school-wide throughout the academic year. Develop a museum learning program and arts experiences at cultural sites. Assists in developing and implementing a school-wide arts integration budget. Provides input regarding the planning of instructional goals, objectives and methods in Arts Integration. Maintains and updates the Arts Integration sharing tools, such as websites, social media, etc. Assist in analyzing arts integration-related data. Improves skill and knowledge base in current trends, research and methodology in arts integrated Instructional techniques, technology, multicultural content, problem solving and interdisciplinary connections.
