YOUR DAY AS A SALON AREA MANAGER This full-time position is remote and travels to salons about 85 percent of the time.
As a Salon Area Manager, you exemplify YSG values of always exuding a friendly welcome, maintaining a focus that increases productivity, and sharing your gift of creativity with our internal and external customers! Your day revolves around efficiently directing salon operations, motivating staff, and ensuring productivity. You recruit and train cosmetology teams while overseeing production processes and inventory management. Weekly check-ups and prompt resolution of maintenance issues are crucial, as is assisting with IT requests. You review salon reports, ensure accurate payroll, manage inventory control, and increase business through client count growth and boosting sales. Additionally, you gather social media content and utilize social platforms to promote stylists, services offerings, and sales promotions. Your role demands proactive involvement in company and regional meetings. With your focus on excellence, you drive success in every aspect of salon management.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SALON AREA MANAGER Current cosmetology license, driver's license, and vehicle insurance Salon management experience Ability to lead, coach, and manage, with accountability for 7-12 salon locations Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends Ability to plan salon visits, budget a plan according to travel allowance, and conduct salon visits daily Capability to work 85% in-salon production hours and 15% administrative hours weekly A self-starter who is self-aware and can work independently or as a contributing teammate ALL ABOUT OUR BUSINESS With locations in 11 states, we operate over 180 smartstyle salons.
