Job Description:
We are seeking an Area Sales Manager to join our dynamic team! Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales activities for Water & Power customers across the Midwest region. Your primary responsibility will be to cultivate and nurture relationships with End Users, Engineering Consultants, Contractors, and Channel Partners.
Location: Candidates must be based in Illinois, Wisconsin, or Michigan.
Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:
Spearhead sales initiatives for Water & Power opportunities within the region.
Foster strong relationships with End Users, Engineering Consultants, Contractors, and Channel Partners.
Efficiently manage local channel partners (Manufacturer's Representatives and Distributors) to optimize performance.
Monitor and pursue project sales, as well as service and aftermarket sales with existing customers.
Act as the first point of contact for customer inquiries, while collaborating with our Factory Service Group to address their needs promptly.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities using our CRM system and provide regular reports to ensure transparency and alignment with company goals.
Stay updated on market trends and competitors' actions to maintain a competitive edge.
Collaborate with the Manager and other Area Sales Managers to develop a strategic sales plan aligned with company objectives.
Provide regular business forecasts for all products and services to support decision-making.
Generate monthly sales reports in conjunction with the regional sales manager to facilitate accurate business forecasting.
Qualifications:
Essential:
Demonstrated experience in coordinating the sale of products and services, particularly on capital projects and to resellers and end-users.
Proficiency in managing a channel partner network effectively.
Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.
Desirable:
Experience in selling engineered industrial automation products or process equipment.
Strong time management and planning skills.
Self-motivated, independent, and resourceful.
Knowledge of the water and wastewater market.
