Our Policy Services Department is seeking a professional self-starter who is an accomplished multitasker and strives to deliver world-class service to key stakeholders (internal team members, company underwriters, agents, producers, and customers).
This is also an opportunity to develop commercial insurance underwriting skills and professional designations while serving as a Policy Services Technician with training and company-paid professional designation self-training through "The Institutes."
Key Responsibilities: Monitors the Policy Services inbox quickly and accurately, assigning tasks to the appropriate Underwriter and Underwriting Assistant. Updates the Submission Activity report daily for management review, including details such as date, insured name, effective date, agent, and underwriter information. Monitors the Quoted Inbox in Outlook, creates and indexes documents in Teams, and assigns them to underwriters. Monitors the Garage Bind Inbox in Outlook and imports data into the Policy Data Capture Workbook. Assists the Garage Department by creating adjustments in USIS for endorsement requests. Monitors the Bind Inbox in Outlook, creates policy folders in Teams, and indexes documents across multiple workflows. Imports all data information into the Policy Data Capture Workbook and corresponds with agents or underwriters as needed (e.g., requesting documents, reinsurance, and inspection reports). Processes policies with premium changes by requiring a form and sending it to IT for adjustments in USIS. Notifies the IT Department if a policy is not in USIS but is in TEAMS. Sort and search UW, Claims Mail, and import documents into policy file. Prep UW mail and import documents in the policy file. Index emailed documents into the policy files. Perform other duties as requested or assigned by management. Skills and Experience: Proficient in computer usage Capable of conducting precise searches for existing Policy and Quote files Pays close attention to details Versatile and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously Able to understand and execute instructions effectively Possesses strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing Adaptable to changes in procedures Demonstrates effective problem-solving abilities Maintains a positive outlook and approach Employment Qualifications: High School Diploma, GED required Hourly Pay Range: This is a non-exempt position with an hourly pay range of $19.00-$23.00 per hour (negotiable based on experience)
