Acquisitions Manager

Job summary
As an Acquisitions Manager, your job is to interview, listen for business potential, and persuade select candidates to work with your company.You work with different colleges and universities to identify business opportunities and recruit author candidates.Must live in assigned territory or work in our home office in Dubuque, Iowa. This position requires travel and previous sales experience.
Job seniority: mid-to-senior level
Responsibilities
• Proactively plan and schedule your week ahead by sending emails and making phone calls to schedule meetings.• Run meetings to interview, identify business opportunity, and recruit select college professors to become GRL authors.• Make additional phone calls to higher priority contacts or department chairs while travelling on campus.• Follow-up with prospective and existing authors and keeping track of information in CRM system.
Requirements
• Possess skills and abilities to become a sales professional.• Competitive, highly organized, and self-driven.• Bachelor's degree with two years of sales experience.• Valid driver's license.• Positive attitude and willingness to take on challenges.• Teaching background is a plus.
