Position Overview:
As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in our finance team, working closely with our Accounts Payable Supervisor and reporting to the Senior Operations Accounting Manager. Joining a group of experienced professionals, you'll have the flexibility to work remotely while enjoying the support of a tight-knit team.
Responsibilities:
- Process a substantial volume of invoices daily (up to approximately 80/day) utilizing systems such as Open Invoice and BOLO.
- Review, code, and electronically route invoices for approval, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct full-cycle accounts payable matching to maintain efficient financial operations.
- Foster positive communication with customers to address inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Perform regular reviews of vendor statements and conduct reconciliations as necessary.
- Assist in facilitating weekly check runs to support financial processes.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of proven experience in accounts payable roles, demonstrating proficiency in financial operations.
- Familiarity with electronic (paperless) systems, with preference given to experience with Open Invoice.
- Previous exposure to the oil and gas industry is advantageous, though not required.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring precision in all tasks undertaken.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel, for effective data management.
Working Hours:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate individual needs.
