Responsible for supporting all functions of the Accounting, Payroll, and Revenue Audit positions. Fills in for vacations in all areas. Must have an understanding of the entire general ledger process from auditing through financial statement processing. Understands and can perform the functions of a Revenue Auditor, an Accountant, an Accounts Payable Specialist, and a Payroll Specialist or designee.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Promote a clean, safe, healthy and friendly work environment for employees and guests; report and direct safety issues to Safety Committee. Supports the activities in the Revenue Audit department as assigned. Supports the activities in the Accounting department as assigned. Supports the activities in the Payroll department as assigned. Assists with verification of the accuracy of general ledger accounts, during monthly accounting closings prior to the preparation of monthly financial statements. Maintains and reconciles general ledger accounts as assigned. Maintains all assigned journals and schedules. Assists the Accountant and Accounting Manager with producing financial statements and schedules on a timely basis. Assists managers and directors in tracking departmental costs. Works with vendors on account reconciliation and scheduling vendor payments as assigned. Audits assigned revenue departments. Assists with Payroll processing and general ledger entries. Fills in for other positions while individuals are away from the workplace, as assigned. Maintains confidentiality of all financial accounting records and materials. Complies with applicable company policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. POSITION REQUIREMENTS ( objective educational or technical training required; skills; and years of experience ):
High school graduate. Minimum two years accounting experience or equivalent education required. Some computer experience to include general accounting, spreadsheet preparation, and word processing, or equivalent education. Ability to accurately maintain, analyze, and reconcile general accounting records and data. Professional appearance and attitude.
