The Oregon Wildlife Foundation (OWF) seeks a dynamic person to fill the Accounting Manager role on our team. This position manages our accounting needs and financial transactions and is our benefits administrator.
Who We Are
Based in Portland, OWF is an operating charitable foundation that raises and distributes funding in support of fish, wildlife, and public access projects throughout our great state. Our programs include small grants, fiscal sponsorship, campaign fundraising, and land conservation. OWF also operates Spruce Gifts & Provisions stores in the Columbia River Gorge at Bonneville Fish Hatchery and downtown Hood River. The Accounting Manager at OWF oversees all accounting and finance functions; Ensures compliance with GAAP principles; Handles treasury operations; Investigates discrepancies in payroll, accounts payable, and receivable; Audits purchase orders and invoices; Administers payroll and benefits and maintains meticulous records.

Position Qualifications: 3 or more years of mid-level accounting experience, preferably in a nonprofit environment; A bachelor's degree in accounting or a closely-related field; Experience with Quickbooks for Nonprofits or similar desktop and cloud-based software in a professional environment; A passion for problem-solving; Committed to confidentiality while working with company records; Strong written and verbal communication skills; Experience with Aplos accounting software is a plus. Compensation + Benefits $60,000-$67,000 salary per year, depending on experience. Benefits after 90 days include: Employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance; SIMPLE IRA employer match of 3%; Paid time off; Paid holidays; NW Portland office location; Hybrid work schedule.
