Meadowbrook Country Club is searching for an Accounting Assistant to join our team! Candidate will be responsible for accuracy of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable transactions, understands general accounting, and reconcile accounts to ensure their accuracy. Assist with accounting and administrative duties as needed.
As our Accounting Assistant you will be responsible for: Accounts Receivable, including, but not limited to, posting charges and credits to Member accounts, accurate billing for banquets/events, processing monthly charges, posting cash receipts, preparing monthly statements for Members, monitoring delinquent accounts and working with Controller/CFO for collection. Maintain accuracy of Member files, collaborating with the Director of Membership on Member status changes. Accounts Payable, including, but not limited to, review of proper manager approval, posting invoices to correct general ledger accounts, issuing paper checks, virtual credit cards and recording ACH payments. Reconciling vendor statements. Maintain accurate vendor files, including agreements, W9, and Certificate of Insurance. Calculate and file monthly Sales Tax and quarterly Use Tax. Prepare 1099 and 1096 forms according to IRS guidelines. Receive beverage inventory into software and work with team that counts monthly inventory. Share in administrative responsibilities, such as, answering phone, assisting Members with dining reservations, ordering office supplies, etc. Potential to supervise part-time Administrative Support staff.
