Accounting Manager/HR
Orlando, FL
Armstrong Lock and Security Products has an opening for an Accounting Manager/HR. This position is a full-time (with overtime as needed) and demands an individual who can multitask in a fast-paced environment. Why choose Armstrong? Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
Complete year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit
Utilize QuickBooks to process requisitions, work orders, invoices, and payroll forms
Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements
Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested
Supervise and/or manage general ledger accounting functions
Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships
Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end
Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
Manage the recruitment and selection process
Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization
Nurture a positive working environment
Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
Maintain pay plan and benefits program
Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management
Attend organizational meetings
Manage time and meet time-sensitive deadlines
Work independently or within a team on daily tasks and projects
Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or MBA preferred
5+ years of accounting experience
3+ years of managerial experience
Minimum 3 years of QuickBooks experience
Proficiency with MS Office Suite software, especially Excel
Act with professionalism in an office environment
Excellent verbal communication skills
Clean background check and able to pass a drug test
Ability to take direction and follow-through to find a resolution
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and demonstrate organizational skills
Perform other duties as required
