Job DescriptionThe Account Analyst II performs a variety of routine and complex activities in support of the Finance and Accounting business unit and may have specialized assignments in Accounts Payable matters. Typical duties include processing invoices, vouchers, purchase orders, contract bids for payment, organizing and maintaining files, and verifying information and data for compliance with policy and procedures including Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Under general supervision, the Account Analyst II performs a variety of duties often of a confidential nature in support of Accounts Payable activities for such areas as general accounts payable, accounting and internal control, interdepartmental coordination, and general office-related administrative duties. The employee is responsible for embracing the appropriate technology tools to accomplish job responsibilities. Subsequently, the Account Analyst II must understand and utilize the available technology such as data gathering and analysis tools in performing routine and complex duties for the department. 
General Accounts Payable: 
? Match invoices and reconcile statements on prices, quantities, freight charges, discounts, approvals, account distribution and extensions.
Process journal entries, purchase orders, and enter vouchers into appropriate systems for allocation to appropriate accounts payable audit. 
? Analyze vendor accounts, look up vendor numbers, and communicate with vendors in a timely, accurate and professional manner to resolve internal and external issues. Research inquiries from vendors and employees as needed. 
? Process checks for all subsidiaries of the company in a timely manner. 
? Assist in month-end closing and year-end processes such as sales-end use tax, 1099's and other processes as assigned. 
? Assist in maintaining accuracy with the company Address Book. ? Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Accounting and Internal Control: ? Responsible for monitoring compliance with existing internal control procedures. ? Responsible for accuracy of all A/P transactions. 
? Responsible for following through to completion on all job responsibilities and elevating any issues to management for timely resolution. 
? Interface with company internal auditor(s), independent auditors and other agencies as necessary. 
Interdepartmental Coordination: 
? Provide information and/or analysis as requested by all departments. 
? Communicate policies to organization and monitor compliance. 
? Work closely with business units to ensure invoices are paid timely and coded properly. 
Organizational and Communication Skills: 
? Skilled at prioritizing and handling multiple objectives in a busy office setting. 
? Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable filing system. 
? Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills. 
? Demonstrated ability to protect confidential information and maintain positive working relationships with diverse employee groups and external customers.  


Job RequirementsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: 
? High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance is preferred. Required Experience 
? Minimum of three years related experience in accounting or finance is preferred. 
? Demonstrated knowledge and experience in account analysis and general accounting. 
? Familiar with PC applications including word processing and spreadsheet applications. Must have strong computer skills including the Microsoft Office suite of products including Word, Excel and Outlook, including the ability to effectively use available technology, such as Stellent, to streamline processes. 
? Experience with Oracle J.D. Edwards Enterprise One system preferred.
