THE POSITION We are looking for a highly analytical, adaptable, and solution-oriented Accountant. The ideal candidate is a strategic, creative, and resourceful problem solver with an innate ability to design and implement solutions driving growth and profitability, and able to manage a team of 5.
THE CANDIDATE Management of line of credit balances and banking covenants monthly and quarterlyPerforming detailed review to ensure accuracy in financial documents, expenditures, and investmentsConfirming the AR team members are following AR SOP accurately and efficiently according to their job descriptions and AR SOP expectationsBill and maintain all accounts to ensure that billing and payments are currentGeneral ledger managementDevelop and implement budget plans and processes (formulation and execution)Identify goals, revenue projections, target profit margin, budget variances, etc.)Providing executive level financial statements with metrics and guidancePreparing consolidated financial statementsBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with the rest of the Accounting, and all other corporate departments to ensure cohesive supportLead the overall year-end services as requested by the outside CPA firm in their preparation of the annual reviewed financial statements and tax returnsEnsure financial statement are prepared in accordance with GAAPAudit accounting data and identify and errorsPrepare semi-annual performance evaluations of the accounting teamReview all work performed by the department staff including receivables, payables, invoicing, cash receipts, refunds, collections, client statements, bank reconciliations, W2s, and 1099sServe as a liaison to bank representatives, and all outside vendorsConduct bank reconciliationsConduct banking activitiesWill be main contact for vendorsPay vendors by ACH, Check, Credit CardsReview vendor statements and submit reconciliation reports • Creation of Expense ReportsSubmit reconciliation reportsJournalizing all bank, credit card, and loan activityReconciliation of cash, credit, and loan accountsPayroll ProcessingSkills and Education Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (required)4+ years in AccountingSAP (preferred)Paycom (preferred) Benefits of working as a Accountant in Hyattsville, MD:
