Full job description Overview DataPath is a global leader in remote satellite-based communications solutions that solve our customers' toughest communications challenges in urgent time frames and under extreme conditions. We specialize in enabling complex communication networks that are critical to the operations of the Department of Defense (DoD), civilian government and commercial markets.
Summary/Objective DataPath, Inc. is seeking a dynamic Inside Technical Sales Executive to help build and grow our global business, with a focus on selling into large defense prime contractors and Government end users. The Inside Technical Sales Executive will be responsible for developing and closing business across DataPath's portfolio of satellite and wireless communications products, software and professional services, delivered to market. The position requires an experienced Technical Sales leader with proven technical background in SATCOM, business sense, strong understanding of sales, marketing, customer support, strategy, and ethics in the Satellite Communications global market. Must thrive in a fast-paced atmosphere and communicate well in a team environment.
**This Role can be remote with minimal travel required for scheduled corporate sales meetings.**
Responsibilities Essential Functions Develop Sales opportunities to Orders. Strong technical SATCOM experience. Foster key relationship between internal team and execution to ensure customer satisfaction Provide input on IR&D initiatives to position company for future and changing markets Work with internal organization to develop technical solution, Price to Win and product pricing. Understand DOD procurement environment. Work across multi-functional team to ensure accurate and up to date Sales forecasts Identify business growth opportunities through strong customer relationships Increase sales with existing enterprise customers, growing pipeline and sales performance to established targets. Manage the sales cycle from end-to-end, including prospect identification and qualification, pipeline management, accurate sales forecasting, proposal generation and contract closure. Reporting The Inside Technical Sales Executive will be reporting to the Vice President of Sales & Business Development in Duluth, GA.
Travel Minimal for required corporate sales meetings.
Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in technical or business field preferred. 15+ years' successful sales and/or technical experience in the SATCOM industry. Familiarity with DataPath and comparable industry products. Self-starter, able to work independently and generate results. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Track record of identifying, qualifying and closing sales. Demonstrated ability to successfully engage with a wide variety of functional areas within large organizations, including senior and C-level personnel. Proven track record of success in selling complex solutions. Ability to give professional sales presentations to prospective clients. Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident with the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance if needed. Competencies Strong prospecting, negotiation and contract closing skills. Excellent oral, written, and listening communication skills. Ability to contribute in strategy setting sessions and budget decisions Responsible for both revenue and contribution margin targets.
