Job Summary Assist with new student onboarding in Manufacturing, Engineering, Trades, and Transportation, with specialty requirements.


Essential Functions Make necessary referrals to new and current students in Manufacturing, Engineering, Trades, and Transportation Pathways


Work closely with New Student Orientation and provide support through coordination of materials, logistics of the programs, and assisting students with their transition to DMACC to completion


Collaborate with businesses on student tours, student introductions, planning joint events, etc.


Connect current student with academic advisor for education planning






Serve as program liaison to career academy students


Facilitating connection with program-related community, K-12, and career partners


Participate in discussions with stakeholders of the programs and provide feedback to improve future programs


Lead in planning, organizing, and participating in program recruiting events that are beyond DMACC's standard recruiting events (specific to the program)


Aid in accreditation, state, federal, certification, and licensing requirements


Collaborate with WBL team members with career exploration activities


Coordinate program website changes (make recommendations, identify confusions)


Program capacity (working with Admissions, managing capacity, contacting students when a program is full, finding other options for students, program orientation events)




Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree. Ability to effectively interact and communicate with a diverse population of students and education professionals. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing and to prepare and deliver public presentations. Knowledge of current software applications.


Desired Qualifications Advising, recruitment admissions or related experience. Knowledge of DMACC educational and student services procedures and practices. Strong organizational skills. Experience within an education institution.
