Zos System Administrator

We are currently seeking a talented ZOS System Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining and optimizing our z/OS systems, ensuring seamless operations and contributing to the overall efficiency of our IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Management and maintenance of HMC (Hardware Management Console)
Oversight of tape inventory control and maintenance of Tape Management databases
Support for Remote (PPRC/XRC) replication methods
Proficiency in taking system dumps and traces
Management of MVS JES2 SPOOL & SYSLOG
Application of product authorization codes and review of entitlements for external users
Installation and maintenance of z/OS and associated tools using SMP/E
Support for System Software Management Facility (SSMF) activities
Assistance with Parallel Sysplex Implementation and CFRM Policy maintenance
Dataset movement during storage server upgrades/storage consolidation
Logstream Definition and Deletion support
Management of OMVS files, zFS directories, and Digital Certificates
Required Skills and Experience:
Experience in Disaster Recovery setup and conducting DR drills
Proficiency in Mainframe MIPS Optimization and Software rationalization
Familiarity with z/OS v2.x, JES2/JES3, DFSMS, SNA/VTAM & TCP/IP, RMF/SMF
Working knowledge of Mainframe Tools such as SIEM, z/OS-SA or CA-OPS/MVS Automation
Experience with IBM z13, z14 & z15 Mainframe HW and Parallel Sysplex/GDPS-GDDR Setup
Mainframe Security administration experience with RACF
Ability to provide business hours support and participate in On-Call rotations
Monitoring and supporting IPLs (Initial Program Loads) and PORs (Point of Recovery)
Documentation management including turnover/call logs
Proficiency in root cause analysis for problems and escalation of critical issues
Collaboration with vendors for problem resolution
Experience in resolving ABENDs (Abnormal End) and batch jobs owned by MVS
Consultation on product usage and support for installation procedures and standards
Preferred Qualifications:
Participation in Disaster Recovery related activities
Familiarity with all z/OS software products
