We are currently seeking a skilled VoIP Engineer to join our team at our Company. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing design, installation, operations, maintenance, and sustaining engineering services for assigned telephone systems. Your primary focus will be on the Cisco Unified Communications system, ensuring seamless functionality and support.
Location:
Washington, DC (Hybrid Position - Three Days On-Site)
Responsibilities:
Operate, maintain, and provide sustaining engineering for the Cisco telephone system infrastructure, including basic services and corrective/preventative maintenance.
Design and install new cabling, equipment, and hardware/software enhancements to extend existing services.
Support moves, adds, and changes (MAC) for telephone-related connectivity within and external to designated facilities.
Provide operator services for various call types and maintain directory assistance services.
Support existing and future VoIP requirements, including associated call processors, E911 services, and gateway systems.
Extend VoIP services to approved DOC entities with supportable LAN services.
Facilitate VoIP system interfaces and programming for connectivity.
Implement logging and blocking security services via telephone firewall.
Maintain E911 switch and ancillary equipment, including database management.
Provide translations and routing for cellular and remotely located VoIP 911 calls.
Ensure user privacy rights are protected.
Generate call detailed reports and support security-related inquiries.
Supply operating guides for routine operations and voice mail services.
Requirements:
4+ years of experience supporting VOIP and Video Teleconferencing infrastructures.
1+ years of experience with Cisco Finesse.
2+ years of experience creating troubleshooting and setup process documents for VOIP IT Software and Hardware.
Public Trust clearance eligibility.
US Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active Top Secret clearance highly preferred.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Business Management, or equivalent.
Cisco Unified Messaging certifications.
Experience as a remote worker demonstrating time management and self-discipline.
Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
