Teledyne Imaging Sensors is an integral member of the Digital Imaging Segment of Teledyne Technologies. Imaging Sensors provides advanced imaging solutions for a variety of customers, including the DoD, NASA, prime system integrators, and commercial customers. In the civilian space arena, Teledyne sensors are the most advanced sensors on board the Hubble space telescope, and they are also found on board the majority of NASA space probes and ground based telescopes. In the DoD arena, Teledyne sensors are integrated into several major systems for persistent surveillance, chemical detection, and target identification, among others.
Position Summary and Responsibilities
Teledyne Imaging Sensors is looking for individual with both Operations, Engineering and Program Management experience to manage our Vertical Integration Directorate (VID)which includes integration and delivery of systems including Space packages used by Focal Plane Array Operations, thermal control sub-systems, electronics & mechanical production, and commercial/tactical camera systems. This position will be responsible for VID Operations/Assembly, Planning and Manufacturing Engineering and will work closely with Program Management, Engineering, Supply Chain and Quality-Mission Assurance.
Operations Responsibilities
Plan, schedule, direct, and approve all work assigned to the program and assure that quality products are delivered on time and within budget.
Continually improve operational management systems, processes and best practices
Planning of material orders based on lead-times.
Help the organization’s processes remain safe and compliant
Formulate strategic and operational objectives
Manage budgets and forecasts
Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs
Develop, mentor, train and evaluate staff to maximize their career potential.
Find ways to increase quality of customer service and on-time delivery as the business grows
Familiar with AS9100 QMS systems
Program responsibilities:
Identify and develop marketing and business plans for targeted opportunities that fall within the capabilities of the Company.
Market and capture work to ensure the Company’s Core Business Objectives and competitiveness in the marketplace is maintained.
Keep abreast of evolving technology and procedures, which may enhance the opportunities for future projects.
Work with the VID Business Development/Strategic Planning team to identify and pursue new customers, programs, and business opportunities.
Promote existing customer relations through frequent communication.
Consult with customers to gain cooperation and acceptance of ideas and actions.
Project a positive image to employees, customers, and similar industrial companies by ensuring a cost-efficient, quality product is produced in accordance with the customers’ requirements.
Maintain a positive work environment through positive actions to affect morale, providing adequate opportunities for employee personal growth.
Direct and coordinate personnel management activities including performance management, recruiting, hiring, promotions, and terminations.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or related field or equivalent experience at least 5 years of relevant experience managing operations, supply chain, projects or programs working for manufacturers of Aerospace products.
Must have MRP/ERP experience
Demonstrated experience and performance in management positions responsible for the performance and management of diverse projects including Profit and Loss responsibilities.
Must have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Must have strong oral and written communication skills, with experience briefing management.
Ideal candidate will have experience with Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma
