Overview We are seeking a skilled Tooling Designer to join our team at our facility located in Rochester, MN. As a Tooling Designer, you will be responsible for utilizing your product design experience and to create and develop efficient and effective tooling solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our organization by designing and implementing innovative tooling designs.
Responsibilities Create and design tooling solutions based on product design requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure tooling designs meet project objectives. Utilize tool/die/mold setup experience to optimize tooling performance. Conduct feasibility studies and provide recommendations for tooling improvements. Generate detailed technical drawings and documentation for tooling designs. Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure seamless tooling integration and functionality. Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting on existing tooling. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in tooling design. Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Qualifications Prior product design experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Proven tool/die/mold setup experience. Proficient in CAD software and other relevant design tools. Strong knowledge of tooling materials and manufacturing processes. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Effective communication and collaboration abilities. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision. Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines. Understanding of safety protocols and willingness to prioritize workplace safety. You should be proficient in:
Product Design Experience Tool/Die/Mold Setup Experience Salary info: $75000 - $85000 / hr
